Every Monday, I am going to review, a site or book that I run across on the web or through a class. There is so much to sift through that it can very often be overwhelming, I hope you find this helpful in your business or teaching.
This week is Care Courses. I found Care Courses about a year ago. I was needing an alternative for some in-service hours, and I wanted to do them online. One of the things that I find troublesome with the course that I have around my area, is that I have done most of them, or they are on topics that I have a million hours in already. I know that time is precious for many, these online courses you might find helpful.
This is directly from the website. Care Courses: distance learning for early childhood professionals and everyone who brings sunshine into the lives of children. Training to help childcare providers get a CDA – Child Development Associate, CCP – Child Care Professional, CEUs for CDA renewal or state required annual clock hours for childcare training. Over 100,000 caregivers trained since 1990.
I found the price to be reasonably, since I already pay about $10 for two hours, and you get so many more hours for the price. You can download directly to your computer, have a book sent to you or both. I have enjoyed doing the courses, they allow me to do them at my pace. The classes are over a variety of topics, and are up to date with the latest in early childhood development. Be sure to take a look at your State’s requirements. Most states allow you to take most of the courses for some credit each is a little different. Mine let’s me take them all. Yhea! Kansas.
